PM2.5: A serious public health concern in Bangkok, Thailand

In recent years, Bangkok has experienced the episodes of PM2.5 seriously, especially during the wintertime around December to February. The concentration of PM2.5 during the episode exceed the standard level of WHO and Thailand, while the air quality index (AQI) reaches to hazardous level. The government and many sectors had done many strategies to reduce the concentration of PM2.5 in Bangkok area. However, people in Bangkok still seriously experience the PM2.5 in the atmosphere and still at high risk of the adverse health outcomes.
