International Maths Day X IYBSSD

Since 2010, the Mathematical Society of the Republic of China has cooperated with the International Mathematical Union to initiate the establishment of the \International Mathematics Day\, and launched the first International Mathematics Day celebration in Taiwan. It has entered the fourth year. The 2023 International Mathematics Day celebration is expected to coincide with the Mathematics Month at the Taiwan Science Education Center, and the International Mathematics Day will be celebrated at the Taiwan Science Education Center on the Saturday and Sunday of the week before March 14. The event will invite professors from mathematics-related departments in Taiwan to set up math booths at the event site, because most of the people who come to the science and education center on weekends are children and parents. They hope to guide children's interest in mathematics through math booths with different themes. At the same time, exhibition boards related to mathematics and sustainable life will be produced, and the relationship between mathematical science and sustainable development will be introduced through research content guided by experts. Considering that the children participating in the activity are relatively young, we will arrange simple hand-made or checkpoint activities according to different sustainable themes, and introduce the concept of sustainability and mathematical science research to the children participating in the celebration under the guidance of interesting activities and examples How to apply to sustainable issues.
