Romantic Highway 3 Education Alliance Workshop
Combining Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with local sustainability issues, the Romantic Highway 3 Education Alliance Workshop was organized by Emei Junior High School in Hsinchu County, bringing together several junior high and elementary schools along the Highway 3 to explore SDGs and local sustainability issues. The workshop invited Director Zhang Zichao from the Center for Sustainable Development and Environmental Education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Associate Professor He Xinjia from National Taichung University of Science and Technology, and the participating schools to embark on a learning journey.The workshop began with a visit to a local cultural and art studio, where cultural workers shared stories and used percussion and performance as vehicles to convey the history of the development of the Beipu Hakka Village and how it has integrated community arts and culture. The attendees gained practical experience in combining community sustainability through the storytelling. Then, the group proceeded to Beipu Junior High School in Hsinchu County, where Professor Zhang Zichao and Associate Professor He Xinjia led discussions among participating teachers on the contents of SDGs and how to connect them with local issues, and how to transform them into curriculum teaching plans.Through this workshop, participating teachers were able to return to their schools with a better understanding of the contents of SDGs, integrating local culture, and practical application of SDGs in their teaching curriculum.

This workshop is particularly in the middle school and primary school along the 3rd line of Emei Middle School, Hsinchu County. The study of local sustainable issues for sustainable development target SDGS is organized in Beipu Township, Hsinchu County. The workshop not only enters the community, but also enters the community.
