On March 30, the Earth Sciences Research Institute (2nd floor lecture hall) of the Central Research Institute held a seminar of "Establishing Ocean Reserve: Why, where, and what?" This event is hosted by the Ocean Kan (Ocean Kan), the Future Earth Taipei Ocean Working Group, and the Center for Sustainability Science. ) It is co -organized by the National Science and Technology Council.

The purpose of this seminar is to discuss how to establish the Ocean Reserve (MPAS) through the joint negotiation and coordinated management of the stakeholders. The activity is divided into two stages: group discussions (30 minutes) and the speaker's publishing (5 minutes speech+5 minutes question and answer) to enhance the interaction with the audience. Group discussions are divided into three themes: (A) Why and where to build a marine protection zone: the role of scientific research? (b) How to allow stakeholders to participate in design and establish a marine protection zone together? (C) How to allow stakeholders to participate in the coordinated management and implementation of the marine protection zone?
