Events

The event was planned by Associate Professor Li Meng-Fang from the Department of Aquaculture, National Penghu University of Science and Technology. It brought together teachers from eight different universities in Taiwan, each specializing in various fields. These professors include Professor Hong Ting-Fu from the Department of Materials Engineering, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology; Professor Xu Zi-Gui from the Bachelor's Program in Intelligent Mechatronics, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology; Associate Professor Cai Hong-Sheng from the Department of Digital Media, Dawn University of Technology; Professor Gu Jian-Guo from the Department of Applied Physics and Chemistry, University of Taipei; Assistant Professor Wu Tian-Chuan from the Department of Electronic Engineering, National Huwei University of Science and Technology; Professor Li Wang-Long from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National Cheng Kung University; Associate Professor Xu Jia-Wei from the Air Force Institute of Technology; Professor Cai Zhen-Kai from the Department of Electronic Engineering, National Huwei University of Science and Technology; and Researcher Zheng Rui-Zhou and Teacher Cai Zheng-Li from the National Museum of Science and Technology.

On May 13th, the science popularization teams collaborated with the Education Department of Penghu County Government and Zhongzheng Elementary School in Magong City, Penghu County, to organize the Penghu County Elementary and Junior High School Parent-Child Science Toy Making Competition Exhibition and Parent-Child Science Carnival at the 1st floor of the Sports Hall of National Penghu University of Science and Technology. On May 12th, the university professors visited Qimei Junior High School in Qimei Township, Penghu Islands, to hold science popularization hands-on experience activities for students and teachers from Qimei Elementary School, Shuanghu Elementary School, and Qimei Junior High School, serving students from the outlying islands.

The university booths included "Fly with me," "Materials also have Memory?!" "Escape from the Volcano - Experience AI Intelligent Evacuation System and Laser Gun Making," "Back to the Song Dynasty - STEAM Education with Shen Kuo," "God's Perspective - Demon Hand," "Small Power Generator," "Da Vinci's Flying Dream," "Biomedical Innovation Science Popularization Promotion Activity," "Playing with Eggs," and "Exploring the Beautiful Ocean Garden - Coral Ecology Conservation and Planting." Additionally, there were 5 booths for junior high schools and 10 booths for elementary schools, attracting more than 300 parents and children to participate in experiencing scientific games and learning scientific principles, making it a very scientific pre-Mother's Day holiday.
