The Hidden Numeric Codes in Nature & Magic Numbers

Highlights Science Communication
Event Date | 2023/02/13 Address | Changhua County

Basic science is the driving force behind sustainable development, and mathematics is the mother of science. Mathematics is everywhere in our lives. Let's discover the hidden numerical codes in nature and derive the famous Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio through today's activity. In addition, we will use a \guess the birthday\ mathematical magic trick to guide everyone to discover the mathematical rules behind the magic and deduce the conversion from the commonly used decimal counting system to the binary counting system.

Digital passwords in nature are found through mathematical inquiry activities, and mathematical magic is derived from the rules of the 2nd position counting system.nBasic science is the driving force for promoting sustainable development, and mathematics is the mother of science. There are mathematics everywhere in our lives. Let us find the digital password hidden in nature through today's activities, and step by step to derive the famous Fei's number column and golden segmentation. In addition, we have to guide everyone to find the mathematical rules behind the magic through the mathematical magic of "guessing birthday", and derive the commonly used 10 -position to a 2nd position.nIntroduce the IYBSSD (Basic Science Promotion International Year), and find digital passwords in nature through mathematical inquiry activities, and derives the rules of the 2nd position system by mathematical magic.nThe event was divided into two lessons. The first lesson is to introduce this United Nations activity through the official PPT of IYBSSD TAIWAN, including the 17 o'clock SDGS, and the association of basic science with this 17 o'clock SDGS to help students have "scientific equality, scientific enlightenment, national participation in IYBSSD, The four demands of connecting international "have basic concepts and cognitions. Through mathematical inquiry activities, students can allow students to observe the digital passwords in nature, discover the number of Fei's number, and derive the golden rate (golden segmentation), and then apply it to interpret the cutting of Nautilus; Six special digital cards, to guess 1-63 magic of 1-63, lead students to derive the rules of the 2nd position.
