Clam?! Oh, that's how it is! Oyster Exploration Experience

Specialization
Event Date | 2023/08/26 Address | Fengtay Culture and Education Foundation Green Park 3F Art Hall

Clams and oysters are popular seafood dishes in various cities and counties in Taiwan. You'll definitely find clam soup on the menu of small eateries, and night markets across the country serve oyster noodles and oyster omelets. Yunlin County is the largest producer of clams in Taiwan, with approximately 3 out of every 5 clams coming from there. Besides clams, Yunlin County is also a major supplier of oyster seedlings in Taiwan. Do you really know about these familiar seafood delicacies? Let Professor Li Mengfang guide us to explore the biology of clams and oysters.

Where does the iridescent color on shells come from? Let's explore this together in the \Aurora Chocolate\ hands-on workshop. Discover how to use biomimicry to create physical colors on chocolate surfaces, resulting in dazzling iridescent hues that dance and shimmer in the light! These vibrant colors are not derived from dyes or coatings but are the result of light waves reflecting off the fine texture of the chocolate itself. It's a sweet chocolate course in learning optics! Follow the footsteps of Professor Chen Kunlong and transform ordinary chocolates into dazzling aurora-colored treats!
